Overview

Southern Management is dedicated to the education and development of our staff. We recognize that one of the key factors to our success lies in our ability to fully develop the potential of our workforce. We have developed and implemented a number of programs to address the needs of not only our entry-level and middle management employees but also those included in our senior leadership team. Our training begins on the first day of employment and continues until retirement.

To facilitate in the realization of the goals we set, we made significant investments in both program development and in the creation of an innovative training division. Our training division and corporate training center is based in Rossville, Georgia just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Our training staff has developed and implemented numerous initiatives to address the needs of chemical, equipment, safety and health training. Extensive management, technical and specialty training programs are in place to meet current and future needs of our staff and management team. We use specific site-based programs in addition to our standardized training programs. Residence courses conducted at our corporate training center offer participants the chance to learn from experienced leaders in the facilities service industry. We offer training manuals in both English and Spanish.

We hope all employees conclude each course with a better understanding of the following:

  • Technical proficiency with chemicals, equipment and methods
  • Familiarity with facility rules and regulations
  • Safety matters and the need for thorough, recurrent training
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
